Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a while since we last chatted—it’s been a rough couple of days. Today, I want to talk about something that’s been heavy on my heart: mental health.

So, what does mental health mean to you?

To me, mental health is about emotional and psychological well-being. It’s how I process life, manage stress, and handle challenges. For someone like me, who deals with anxiety, the way I navigate stress may look different from the average person. I try to stick to a routine and keep myself busy, but truthfully, that can be really hard sometimes.

Lately, I’ve been struggling, especially in this post-college phase of life. Finding a job has been one of the hardest parts. I’ve worked since I was 15 and have always been independent, so not working makes me feel defeated and unmotivated. Applying to job after job—only to get rejection emails—can really wear you down.

When it comes to mental health, I think a lot of people are just “figuring it out,” while others choose to ignore it. But I’ve learned the hard way that mental health isn’t something to overlook. Ignoring it can lead you to a dark and lonely place.

Over the past few weeks—honestly, maybe even months—I’ve felt like I’ve been in that place. Some days, I can’t even get out of bed. I’ve found myself irritable with my family, even though I know they don’t deserve that. I’ve constantly asked myself, “Why do I feel this way?”

But through all of this, I’ve come to realize: it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to need help. It’s okay to speak up about what you’re feeling.

If you’re struggling with your mental health, the first step is to acknowledge that you’re struggling. That simple step opens the door to reaching out—whether it’s to a trusted friend, a family member, or a therapist. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength. Because the truth is, we all go through hard times—but trying to face it all alone isn’t the answer.

Have faith. Let go and let God. And remember something a dear friend told me:
“Just don’t give up.”
